Sacred Journeys Travel

With each passing day, our world seems to be growing smaller and yet approximately 80 percent of Americans do not have a passport. Many of those who travel globally think of their journey as a means to get to their point of destination and upon their arrival will have a vacation. Sacred travel, however, has a different intention. In Art of Being Sacred Journeys, we look deeper into the spirit of the adventure and discover that what we are really seeking will never be found at a certain point of destination. The final destination lies within us - the true journey is to the place where we recognize our oneness with every other human being on the planet; to recognize what we each have in common rather than what separates us. Travel authority Rick Steves reported that while eating lunch in Kabul a man sat with him and said, "I am a professor here in Afghanistan. In this world, one-third of the people use a spoon and fork like you, one-third use chopsticks and one-third use fingers, like me. And we are all civilized."

Art of Being Sacred Journeys create intentional time to mindfully contemplate and explore what is being discovered not only on the outer journey but also within. At different times and locations, we may offer an experiential workshop that allows the experience at hand to "settle into your bones" and be fully embodied. Perhaps Buddha summarized it best when he said, "You cannot travel on the path until you become the path itself." From sitting in silence in a garden at the Wild Goose Pavilion in Xian, China, to overlooking the mystical site of Machu Picchu, to relaxing on a cruise liner slowly winding its way through the Greek Islands and the birthplace of democracy, you will discover a world you have never known before. Sacred Journeys Travel are spiritually grounded (non-religious) adventures that will open your heart to the understanding that we are all passengers on spaceship earth and that we are truly citizens of the world.

As you begin to view the world through new eyes, you begin to see it with new meaning. An Art of Being Sacred Journey represents the allure of world travel imbued with the essence of spirit.
